About Mary Esther

Mary Esther has over a decade of experience in architecture and architecture-related industries. A natural problem-solver, she thrives on finding the best solutions to challenges both large and small. As your architect, she will work with you to ensure that no detail is left unturned and that the process is a collaborative one, resulting in a design that addresses both your desires, needs, and budget.

Architecture, as the form of art that we as humans experience through our physicality, can encourage and inspire human connection and interaction. The spaces we experience can either be aesthetically pleasing and functional, leaving us inspired, or they can overwhelm us with their odd or uncomfortable spaces and lack of functionality, both of which will make us want to cut the experience short. Mary Esther is invested in giving you a building that not only functions in the best possible way but also lifts your spirits and invites human connection.

Her professional experience consists largely of K-12 educational architecture, with some residential, municipal, commercial, and hospitality work mixed in, so she has had the benefit of working on many different project types. Holding a Master of Architecture degree from Cornell University and undergraduate degrees in Interior Design and Interior Architecture from Chaminade University in Honolulu and Sacramento State University, she is well-versed in both interior design and architectural processes.

She is licensed in both Washington and New York State and is also NCARB certified, which is just means she can obtain a license to work in additional states with relative ease, so if you have a project in another state and would like to work with her, reach out via email or the contact form on the website.
